The Eleventh Annual Valley Girls Ride is presented by the Central Valley Cycling Charitable Association. The purpose of the event is twofold: to promote women's cycling in the Central Valley and to raise funds for charities. To that end, we have planned what we hope will be an enjoyable event for both experienced and novice cyclists.

Short Course (10.8 or 23 miles) starts at 9:30 AM
Choose either easy course of approximately 10 or 20 miles designed for beginners. The 10 mile route will be on mostly scenic residential road with one rest stop at the half-way mark. The 20 mile route heads south to the Faller Park rest stop then follows the same course as the longer routes back to the finish. There will be plenty of bike patrol to help with directions, questions and minor repairs. These courses were specifically designed to attract beginners or coax former cyclists back on their bikes.

Medium Course (44 miles) starts at 9:00 AM
A truly mid-distance ride: this course combines the relaxed social atmosphere of the short course with some of the scenery of the long course to make it the perfect challenge for the recreational rider. Rest stops and support included.

Metric Course (62 miles - 100 kilometers) starts at 8:30 AM
Designed as a metric century through the countryside east of Clovis. The route is mainly rural roads along the Kings River with rolling hills and flat stretches. It will include three rest stops. The level of difficulty is easy to moderate with “sight seeing” and socializing as the main goal. Riders must be able to maintain a 15 mph average over the entire course. To do the hilly option, you must leave the first rest stop no later than 9:45am. There is a "bail-out" option that will shorten the course by 6 miles. You must be at the mile 51 intersection by 1:00 PM or you will be directed to the shorter distance.

Metric PLUS Course (78 miles – 120 kilometers) starts at 8:30 AM
The course is east of Clovis and meanders along the Kings River and Pine Flat Lake The course is challenging and requires fit, well conditioned riders. Experienced riders only!
